The Young Kids Club

At the start of summer, my  7-year-old sister, Dani, and her friend, Lovely, founded the Young Kids Club. As of today, they only have two members (you can guess who they are) and they spend each day thinking of fun activities. According to their brochure, these include: “Milo making, ID creating, mini golf, orientation, mini fishing, drawing, and more including special activities.”DSC_7072nef

I took these photos to capture the fun of being a kid and the excitement one feels when summer comes. When I was Dani’s age, my cousin and I also had a club – a subsidiary of my older sister’s Unicorn Club, which we weren’t allowed to join at the time because we were deemed “too young.” Thus, the Kiddo’s club was born. Like the Young Kids Club, it started with only two members, but we were able to recruit a third one later on – my little brother. And just like Dani’s club, we did a bunch crazy things like wear superhero costumes, read the Bible as a group, pitch tents, and set up a sari-sari store…inside the house. 553667_10201237604767170_1985755812_nAnyway, this set of photos is all about that, about what childhood is like and about all the kinds of things you cook up with friends or cousins. This is just a sneak peek of what’s to come. After all, summer has just started 🙂
